Individualised Care

We understand that moving in to a care home, possibly at a time when your personal health needs are greater, can be a very stressful and emotional time for you and your family. We are proud of our ability to sensitively guide you through the process and warmly welcome you into your new home.

carehomes-newfpWe acknowledge the uniqueness of every individual and strive to respect their choices and preferences. Whilst we offer support wherever and whenever required we actively encourage residents to maintain their independence as far as they are able. We listen to our residents and treat every person with dignity and respect at all times.

On admission each resident is allocated a Named Nurse and a Keyworker who will have overall responsibility for their holistic wellbeing. In conjunction with you and if you wish, your relative/s, they will produce a comprehensive Person Centred Care Plan which will reflect your abilities, preferences and needs. This Care Plan underpins the service and care provided to you and is reviewed regularly to take account of your changing needs.

Staffing

Trained nurses are on duty 24 hours per day and are supported by a highly qualified care team.

Our excellent staffing levels ensure that we are able to meet the needs of our residents at all times.
We are fully recruited and will not use agency staff unless in an emergency.
We know that our staff are our greatest asset and through provision of an excellent staff training programme we ensure that they have the skills, confidence and competence to be able to fulfil their roles professionally.

The continual process of staff supervision and development ensures our staff are highly motivated and have an enhanced understanding of the needs of older people and the problems which they may face.

Medical care

The majority of our residents are registered with the local General Practioner surgery although you may opt to remain with your own GP.

We work closely with other professionals and work in partnership with the Optician, District Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Dentists as required.

We are pleased to escort our residents to Specialist and hospital appointments if relatives are unable to do so, however a fee will be incurred for this.
