Kimbolton Lodge

Kimbolton Lodge is located in the pleasant riverside town of Bedford, a market town since the Middle ages, once famous as a centre for the lace making industry. Situated within walking distance of the town centre there is easy access to all local community facilities, shops, restaurants, library and leisure facilities, as well as The Corn Exchange which hosts numerous and varied theatre productions and Arts events.

Kimbolton Lodge is a 35 bedded, privately owned nursing and residential care home for the elderly, offering full time or respite care.

Each of our three communal lounges each have a different ambience to suit the diverse interests of our residents, be that watching TV, listening to music or joining in with our varied programme of activities.

The beautifully maintained, walled gardens offer residents the opportunity to relax, take a stroll, or even indulge in a little light gardening. Many of the ground floor rooms have patio doors which lead out into the garden area.

Security / Safety

It is important to us that all our residents feel safe and secure at Kimbolton Lodge.

All our staff are subject to a rigorous recruitment process and must complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check prior to commencing employment. Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults training is mandatory for all our staff.

Our security system allows us to monitor and control access to the home.

Every resident has a personal alarm to allow them to summon help as and when required.

Visiting

We know how important it is for our residents to maintain close contact with their family, friends and loved ones. Visitors are welcome at any time but we would request that meal times are respected.

Quiet areas are available for family visits and special occasions can be celebrated if we are given reasonable notice.

Complaints

We operate a robust Complaints procedure which can be found in your room and if at any time you are unhappy with our service we will respond to your complaint immediately.

CQCThe Quality Care Commission regularly reviews Kimbolton Lodge, their report on us can be read at their website –  click on the logo to access.

Funding

As a dual registered home we offer both Nursing and Residential care. Prior to admission every potential client will receive a comprehensive assessment which will take into account their individual care needs. All fees are calculated according to the level of care required.

We welcome residents who are privately funded as well as those who are financially assisted by the Care Commissioning Group, or Social Services, although a top up may be required in some instances.
